No, I didn’t drop out, but with the sewing, holiday and summer heat, blogging was a bit meagre this week. On day six I did make the striped shorts above though. Yet again loosely based on Made’s Basic Pants, now larger and shorter for our five years old. The fabric could be called vintage, or just plain old. It’s from my mother’s huge stash, a loose woven terrycloth, white and dark blue stripes. Dear daughter doesn’t own a single pair of shorts, so I was curious about her reaction, but she refused to take them off after the photo and asked for it again this morning. A success!
And here the project I have spent day five, six and seven on: a summer coat for Meike! The pattern is Heidi&Finn;’s Chic Cocktail Swing Coat. I made the largest size, 5/6T, in dark blue gabardine, lined with red and white polkadot cotton. Unfortunately it has been hot today, so Meike has been jumping in and out of our little pool, therefore no pictures on the model today…

Super leuke jas!

Thank you Olga!
