This pattern consists of the following patterns: Hanami Top or Dress by Straight Grain, Hosh Pants by LoubeeClothing, Celestial Tee by Figgy’s, September Tunic & Dress by Too Sweets Patterns and the Caroline Party Dress by Mouse House Creations. If you decide to pay $24 or more for this bundle, you even receive a bonus pattern, Prefontaine Shorts by Made With Moxie. I received the whole bundle to sew something to show off here and was determined to sew a whole load of clothes for my girls. However, both life and an online fabric store did not cooperate (these are the days I consider moving away from my sweet tiny island without a fabric store…), so at the moment it’s just one tee to show here, but more PPP-creations will follow soon!
But hey, isn’t this one shirt adorable? It’s the Celestial Tee by Figgy’s in the smallest size, 18 months. A bit large for our 14 month old Linde, but my guess is she’ll fully rock it this summer. In line with KCW’s Mini&Me; theme I used an old (or more accurately: unwanted) shirt with lots of stretch in a bright blue. Since the stretch and recovery were both wonderful, I didn’t use any interfacing on the neckline, nevertheless the endresult looked very neat.
The pleats on the front neck give the basic shirt a little extra. All instructions are very clear and the entire project is a quick sew. The only modification I made was shortening the back bodice by approximately 2″ in the middle. The pattern has a very pronounced lower back bodice with a steep curve at the back, but since the shirt was already a bit on the large side, I decide to soften this curve by shortening the “flap” at the bottom of the back bodice.
All in all there will definately be more Celestial Tees in her future. I already traced a larger size for her big sister as well, but next in line is a pair of Prefontaine Shorts first. Another quick sew, suitable for both knit and woven, so a great stash buster I think! It’s almost done, so I hope to share it with you this weekend… If you’re new here, you can follow me via Bloglovin or Facebook, to see what else I make with the Parcel Patterns!
