Though the construction wasn’t completely clear to me on reading, yet again it all worked out fine when just following the instructions. I’ve said this same phrase a few times in the last few weeks here, so I think maybe it’s just me being a bit challenged in spatial thinking, or – more probably – me having trouble with simply following clear instructions without fully understanding to what purpose.
The skirt consists of a single back skirt part and a front that is composed of side panels, front panel and pockets. Add in the waist band and you realise this pattern gives loads of opportunity for customising and stash busting.
I used star fabric yet again. Does it get boring yet? I used this same red on white cotton before, in L’s Clara Dress. I bought several yards of it, in several colours, so still more stars can be expected…
The waist band has elastic on the back side only, thus the front is nice and flat. I made a size six for M. and though her measurements were all across the original measurement chart for testing, it fit perfectly.
The pattern should be available somewhere around May 12th, so keep an eye on Imagine Gnats!
