How’s the winter coming along where you live? Over here it’s fresh and cold, but barely freezing, yet the skies are amazingly beautiful! It’s such a pleasure to see the beautiful sunrise over the dike every morning when I drive the kids to school… However, these days call for comfortable and warm clothes, so I made our little one a warm winter cowl dress.
Cowl Neck Jumper Dress
Once again I used Heidi & Finn’s pattern of the Cowl Neck Jumper Dress. It’s a basic dress with a wide cowl, long sleeves and side ribbons as a fun accent and to add a bit of shape.
Of course these straps could be tied at the back as well, for a more styled look, but the little Miss loves trying to make her own bows, so she prefers a front knot.
By Poppy Panda Fabric
The fabric is the most fabulous part of this dress… Remember the bunny print Cowl Neck Jumper Dress I made a long while ago? Well, just like that fabric, this lovely soft and warm knit was a gift from By Poppy. This is a Dutch brand that creates fabulous fabric designs, plus a pattern magazine in many different languages. By Poppy was so kind to sponsor this fabric for all participants of London Sew Social and I’ve seen quite some wonderful creations with it pop up already…
Also, the quality is awesome. These pics were taken right after sewing, but it has been washed tens of times since then already and it doesn’t look worn or faded the least. The soft back of the fabric, like a soft terry, is perfect for cozy winter wear so our little girl will enjoy this one immensely this winter!
Oh, just to make sure: I did receive this fabric free of charge, as a sponsor gift for London Sew Social, but I wasn’t obliged in any way to use it or share it with you. This is truly my enthusiasm, and my honest opinion.

What a beautiful and comfy dress!!
I totally agree with you on the fabric!! I made a Semper sweater with it last year and my son still wears it quite often (although it’s getting a bit small) but the fabric still looks (and feels) like new.

Thank you Tamara! I couldn’t find your sweater on your blog, but I think it would be perfect for a boys’ sweater indeed!

Thank you Masha, it’s soooo comfy (at least I think it is, haven’t been able to try it on myself…)! And aren’t pigtails the cutest on toddlers?!
