For my flip, I elongated the lining to create a contrasting slip underneath. The button at the back got replaced by a satin ribbon.
The upper fabric is a leftover from the huge amount of star fabric I bought to make baby gifts. A simple cotton. The white lining is even simpler, a piece of an old duvet cover, extremely thin and lightweight cotton.
The breezy dress fits the Waddensea in summer perfectly…
For our five year old Meike I made a 4T, with an extra five centimetres added to the lining.
Since the seams of the lining are visible at the lower part, I made flat-felled seams.

I love that star fabric. The drees turned out cute and cosy.
The background is impressed. Where have you been to took all these nice shots? 🙂

Thank you! This is where we live, the island Terschelling in the Netherlands. In the pictures you see the dike and the Waddensea, I believe these "kwelders" are called sand marshes in English? It's a wonderful landscape indeed 🙂

Such a beautiful dress, daughter and pictures! It was fun to 'read' your original post in Dutch. I speak German and I'm always amazed at how much I can understand when I read Dutch…not when it comes to speaking though
