Yay, congrats Laura on the birth of your beautiful baby girl! Laura, fellow Paris traveller, blogger at Craftstorming and designer at Titchy Threads, has just given birth to a wonderful baby girl. Great occasion to organise a virtual baby shower, right? So the entire Paris Sew Social crew, plus some other online friends, joined to make some baby gifts. I decided to sew a tiny Tumble Tee, Lollipop Leggings and a Zaaberry baby hat.
Tumble Tee
The Tumble Tee is a tee and tunic pattern by Imagine Gnats. It’s available in sizes 6 months to 10 years in her shop, but she also has the baby size available for free. Since Laura’s is a summer baby, I made the regular short sleeved option, but a longsleeve addition is available as well. Since the tunic has only a front and back, no separate sleeves, it’s a really fast sew. All edges are finished with hems, no binding, very suitable for beginning seamstresses.
I used a scrap of the wonderful Art Gallery fabric, “En Route Gravel”, sponsor gift from Telaria from our Paris Sew Social trip. I used the main part of the fabric for a knit pencil skirt for myself, but had just enough left for this tiny tunic. Since the stretch of the fabric is great and four way, I could use the fabric sideways.
Lollipop Leggings
To match with the tunic, I made a small pair of Lollipop Leggings*, my favourite leggings pattern by Peek-a-Boo pattern shop. A long time ago I was a tester for this pattern and it’s still my go-to legging pattern. This is the smallest size, 3 months. The fabric is a scrap as well – don’t you love sewing for babies, it hardly takes any fabric and only little time! This red knit is from Joyfits, I used the main part of it for this Mystery Challenge dress.
Zaaberry Baby Hat
To finish off the ensemble, I made a small beanie. The pattern is a free one by Zaaberry. Really tiny and sooo cute…. The entire package is on its way to England now, wishing Laura and her family lots of luck and happiness with their brandnew baby girl!

A beautiful baby gift. Love the red as a contrast to the tunic.

Featured today, Nienke.
Nienke says
Ow, than you Pam, awesome!
Nienke says
Thank you Pam! I didn’t want it to be too grey, that can become a bit bland on a baby sometimes, especially since this grey has a bit of a green undertone. So the red indeed brightens it up!
