Another soccer game tonight, the last one in the first round! So I decorated a shirt for Ties, using freezer paper and neon orange textile paint. The lion, the Dutch national animal (in heraldry that is, not in wildlife), I copied from one of Linde’s favourite books by Dick Bruna (affiliate link). We’re huge fans of Dick Bruna’s books, especially Miffy of course. My dad still can recite one of the Miffy books by heart, it was my all time favourite, and now we’re having the same with our kids, loving it! What’s your favourite read for your little ones?

just wanted to let you know, that your blog is quickly becoming one of my favorites. really love what you do here! and i wish you guys good luck for today's game – though obviously, you won't have the luck to win the championship as Germany will do so 😉 But, I'm totally going to enjoy some more Robben soccer fun!
Also: my favorite children books will always be everything Astrid Lindgren…

Thank you Annika, that is so sweet! All my orange is working, all three matches won 😉 I'll keep it up as long as necessary LOL.
And you're right, Astrid Lindgren is fabulous, I read almost everything she wrote and think her Seacrow Island secretly was a huge reason for my wish to move to an island myself… I've read Pippi Longstocking and The Bullerby Children to & with my eldest twice now, great to rediscover those.
